Here is Mele. I am an artist, designer and illustrator born 1986 in Cádiz, a beautiful and sunny city in the south of Spain.
As far as I can remember, I was always surrounded by colouring books, pens, watercolours, papers and everything that had to do with creativity and leave the imagination fly far away.
At the age of 17 I left my hometown and moved to Madrid, where I studied Fine Arts in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, finishing in 2010 and achieving with this one of my dreams.
During the academic year 2008/09 I lived, studied, learnt and enjoyed in Hildesheim, a small but lovely city in the middle of Germany, where I specialised in Graphic Design at the HAWK / Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst.
After the years in Madrid, we decided to change the scene and this is how I ended up in Berlin, this amazing city where I live and work, to where I came searching for new adventures and where I found a future full of unexpected surprises.
Here is where I developed and fixed my style: drawings that moves on the surface, lines which interwove with each other, creating organic forms with no beginning and no end, elements which come from nature, but don't find their place attached to the earth.
Abstract thoughts which mix the curves and the straight, the balance and asymmetry, the empty space and the deep black.
Drawings with a spotless white or moving without end in an ocean of intense color.
My drawings are floating elements in surrealist landscapes, they are the shapes which creates themselves if I leave my hand and my heart work together in unison.
They are my language and my way to tell the world that this is what I do the best.
